Writing Task

Mrs Bailey showed us how use apostrophes for contractions e.g. I am becomes I'm. Here is a slideshow showing that I know what to do.

 

Olympic Art

 

Tokyo is hosting the Olympics this year. WE did some olympic art this week. 

The main colours are blue, yellow, black, green and red.

To create this art, we painted a roll of water colours in the Olympic colours, then we rolled along the piece of paper.

To create this piece, I got a cup and traced around it using a pencil. Then I got some coloured paper and cut it into circles the same size as the cup. Then I stuck the circles on to the white paper. Next I got some ribbon and stuck it on underneath the circles. Then I added some water colours beside the ribbons

  

To make this we got some white paper, then we got some black paper smaller than the white paper. Then we glued the black to the white paper.. Next we got another piece of white paper and then we got a paper plate and we put it on the white paper and drew a circle around it. Then we cut the big circle out and glued it to the black paper. Then ewe used a cup to draw 5 circles and coloured them in ib black red, yellow, blue and green. Then i traced around it with felt pen and coloured in the inside with pencil

Super Weirdo

 Our teacher was reading a book called Super Weirdos to us then she made a challenge for us where to make a super weirdo.  We had to work in a group of 3 one did the head one made the legs and one made the body.

How To Make A Hot Milo

How to make a hot mile instructions - Mrs Bailey let us all make a milo in class.  Then we were given a challenge to write a set of instructions for others to follow.  Here are my instructions

Instructions to make a Spider

 How To Make A Spider Drink

you will need -

• spoons
• icecream
• fizzy drinks
• cups
• straws
• marker

1) Use the markers to draw on the cups. I drew characters and a scene from Charlotte's Web as it's the book we are reading.

2) Then put the icecream in the cup.

3) Then pur your fizzy drink on top of the icecream. Be careful that the bubbles don't overflow.

4) Put your straws and spoons into your cup.

5)Eat, drink and enjoy your spider.

Observations from making A Spider -

• first thing I noticed is that the bubbles rose
• the drink and icecream seperate
• if you stir the mixture together the icecream and drink join together, but if you leave it to sit, the drink seperates again and all the colour goes to the top with the icecream!
• I only got a lot of bubbles in the coke spider
• The texture of the coke bubbles was very light but they had the full taste of coke.
